Education

B.S. Marketing and Accounting, Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA

Dennis Bush joined Kaufhold Gaskin LLP in 2017.  His professional career focuses on supporting service organizations with his 30 plus years of business experience, technical assistance and process improvements. Prior to joining Kaufhold Gaskin, Dennis was the Business Operations Director at an engineering firm headquartered in San Francisco, with offices in New York City and Alexandria, Virginia. He was responsible for all business planning and implementations for the firm, including negotiating office space leases, client contracts, compliance requirements for federal and state projects, insurance, human resources, IT infrastructure and managed the non-engineering staff across the firm. His team was able to organize project files, fully implement all aspects of the Enterprise Resource Management System (Deltek Vision) and upgrade the IT infrastructure to improve staff efficiencies.

This is not the first opportunity for Dennis to share his skills with Kaufhold Gaskin, LLP. He worked with the firm on digitizing case files in 2012. Dennis was able to leverage skills that he learn as a consultant for NetApp in moving unstructured data into a structured environment for easy search and retrieval, enabling improvements to the company’s internal customer and sales partner websites.

Dennis served as Director of Marketing and Communications for Aspiranet, one of California’s largest and well-respected children and family social services agencies. In the 12 years Dennis was at Aspiranet, the agency grew from one youth program in three locations to 28 programs for children and families in 44 locations throughout California. In working with the Board of Directors and technology consultants, Dennis led the team to develop network-based data tracking and reporting systems for the agency, resulting in improved service outcomes for children and families. The system later was sold to other similar California non-profits to assist those agencies to meet California’s enhanced reporting requirements as a result of its re-alignment initiatives of the foster care/adoption systems.

Over the years, Dennis has enjoyed working with youth as a mentor, currently volunteering with Students Rising Above, which has a 90% college graduation success rate.
